Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12th, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej, (presently Onesti(born November 12, 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej, now One Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast in history to get a flawless score of 10 in an Olympic competition. Bela Karolyi, later Romanian Gymnastics Coach, came across Comaneci at just seven years old. The first time she competed at the national junior championships of 1969 and finished 13th. She won the competition in 1970. In her very first international competition in 1972, she took the top spot by winning three gold awards. When she competed for the first time at the senior level, Lyudmila Turkishcheva of Russia won five gold medals aswell with one silver. In 1976, she was the world's first woman who used a double backwards salto for a dismount off parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. When she was in her teens she started appearing on travelling shows such as Ice Capades as a skater together with her younger sister Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on the 6th day of September 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. Carol started her career in entertainment as a teenager. The path she took to success began when she joined her sister Nina Wayne to perform in Ice Capades, a traveling spectacle of entertainment. The shows were skaters who were followed by musical performances.
