Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou was born in Beaumont in France's Puy-de-Domme on August 9 1976 the eldest among four kids. Her parents were dentists and a teacher recognised and supported her love of theatre and drama from a young age which superseded an initial desire to become a primatologist due to her fascination with monkeys. It was a quick rise for her to be a famous young actress. After completing her studies, she was able to be a part of Jeunes Premiers, a French television talent-scouting program that was sponsored by Canal+. There she received the award for best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. The result was that she decided to embark on a acting profession. Though she was a student at the Institut Catholique de Paris and was a member of the church during her childhood, Tautou is now averse to this upbringing, stating that she is not officially Catholic. She pursued a career in modeling along with her acting career. She is the model for L'Oreal Mont Blanc and Chanel is often called the Chanel Muse. A keen photographer, she created a show during the Arles International Festival entitled Superficial. The focus of her photography is celebrities, fame and the media who scrutinized her following her emergence on the scene in the film Amelie. Additionally, there are a number of photographs featuring her self. Audrey Tautou became a star and was recognized internationally for her role debut as Amelie Poulain in Le Fabuleux Destination d'Amelie. Amelie was recognized internationally due to its success at the box office. It also received praise during awards ceremonies around the globe. It is the top-grossing French film made in America. The film's success led Tautou to a variety of roles, ranging from British dramas as Dirty Pretty Things by Stephen Knight and Jean Pierre Jeunet to Hollywood's The Da Vinci Code with Tom Hanks.
